Downgrade my Acer TravelMate 6292 laptop from Vista to Windows XP

Oh, boy! It was quite a jorney and the challenge was to install the SATA Hard Drive without a floppy disk drive!

I was sick about Vista. Do not understand me wrong, I like Vista because it looks great and for a beginner is above user-friendly but (there is a but!) for an advanced user may be, from time to time nothing but trouble. I encountered lots and lots of problems starting with permissions to copy, move or delete files and folders and ending with his stubbornness to uninstall software.

Darwars Ambush - a video combat training game that you will never play…

… unless, hmmmm, you’ll join the US Army just for the fun of playing it. ;-)

DARWARS Ambush! provides military training based on experiences of personnel in the field, and includes capabilities to ensure the fast capture and dissemination of lessons learned. The initial application has involved convoy-operations training, but Ambush! is beginning to be applied in other areas, including platoon level mounted infantry tactics, dismounted operations, Rules-of-Engagement training, cross-cultural communications training, and has the flexibliity to apply in other areas as well.

Youtube player goes wide

We’re expanding the width of the page to 960 pixels to better reflect the quality of the videos you create and the screens that you use to watch them. This new, wider player is in a widescreen aspect ratio which we hope will provide you with a cleaner, more powerful viewing experience. And don’t worry, your 4:3 aspect ratio videos will play just fine in this new player.

For 2-3 years we heard more and more about wide. Hardware (as in laptops, monitors and teleisions) is going widescreen. Many online tvs are talking and imprementing the wide format. DVD Movies are wide. Even Adobe Premiere is working with wide formats! :-)

Gaming to provide new diseases to medical science

At first doctors… thought Lorenzo Amato was suffering from a stroke or a severe brain disorder.

The teenager couldn’t speak and didn’t seem to understand anything going on around him. Then doctors discovered he’d just finished a marathon session on his new Playstation.

Local politician Antonio Buccoliero, who spoke to the doctors, said: “They eventually managed to take care of him once they understood that this was a strange kind of mental detachment connected to his Playstation.”
