CSS Naked Day

Three years ago, Dustin Diaz came up with the idea of promoting “clean” websites, websites that properly use xhtml and html, that have a good structure, sites that “show off their < body >.”

So he invented the CSS Free Day, that falls this year on april 9th, a day when all sites should strip off their design, optionally adding this code to the top of their page.

<h3>What happened to
the design?</h3> <p>To know

styles are disabled

If you care to support this idea and wish to do so, you should register here, and your site will be displayed on naked.dustindiaz.com among more than 2000 others.

Because that’s the price of the Social Networks:Five Consumer Trends for 2009 report, which will have you rethinking your budgets in a flash. The smart people discovered that the consumer oriented marketing that social media allows is followed consequently by…the money :)

The Social Networks report analyzes key trends that online marketers should be keeping an eye on in 2009.
The growth that social networks have exhibited over the past few years shows little sign of abating. By 2013, an estimated 52% of Internet users will be regular social network visitors.
Will 2009 be the year that marketers and social networks figure out how to harness the myriad bits of information that consumers share about their likes, dislikes and purchase preferences—and turn them to a profit?

Key questions the “Social Networks” report answers:

* How many people use social network sites?
* How are the demographics and usage patterns changing?
* Will Facebook overtake MySpace?
* Where do Twitter and mobile phones fit in?
* How do consumers use social networks in the purchase process?
* And many others…

You cand DOWNLOAD the pricy report here, and if you do so, please share info on the later results of that investment :)

Twitter security breach

An adult webcam site might be sending tweets from your account.

It seems Twitter is confrunted with another major security break: a program that hacks into accounts and sends out a message like that:

hey! 23/Female. Come chat with me on my webcam thingy here www.chatwebcamfree.com.

A while ago, celebrity accounts have been hacked in the same way, by compromising password, a tactique not quite so common for Twitter hacks but heavily used for breaking down Instant Messaging accounts.

This has not yet been proven, but it is the best time to change your Twitter password.
