Darwars Ambush - a video combat training game that you will never play…

… unless, hmmmm, you’ll join the US Army just for the fun of playing it. ;-)

DARWARS Ambush! provides military training based on experiences of personnel in the field, and includes capabilities to ensure the fast capture and dissemination of lessons learned. The initial application has involved convoy-operations training, but Ambush! is beginning to be applied in other areas, including platoon level mounted infantry tactics, dismounted operations, Rules-of-Engagement training, cross-cultural communications training, and has the flexibliity to apply in other areas as well.

Youtube player goes wide

We’re expanding the width of the page to 960 pixels to better reflect the quality of the videos you create and the screens that you use to watch them. This new, wider player is in a widescreen aspect ratio which we hope will provide you with a cleaner, more powerful viewing experience. And don’t worry, your 4:3 aspect ratio videos will play just fine in this new player.

Gmail fans have been building unofficial extensions to spice up their inboxes for a while, but up til now themes haven’t been an integral part of Gmail. We wanted to go beyond simple color customization, so out of the 30 odd themes we’re launching today, there’s a shiny theme with chrome styling, another one that turns your inbox into a retro notepad, nature themes that change scenery over time, weather driven themes that can rain on your mailbox, and fun characters to keep you in good company.

Download GMail voice and video chat.

This is an interesting but normal move for Gmail. It’s interesting because they integrate this plugin with the small Gmail chat window instead of (the dead) GTalk application as every internet person could think, but in the end it’s normal because, hey!, the video-era begun couple of years ago. There was about time!
