Believe it or not, there is an website that shows us in real time the air traffic. Here is a video presenting the global air traffic (simulation over 24 hours). The airplanes are all those yellow points on the map.

The Air Traffic Team can be found at radar.zhaw.ch and the live air traffic here. The map has no enough zoom outs so you’ll be forced to kill you mouse to go left, right, up and down, searching for your location. The interesting part is that once used, the page will remember your last location :-).

Using google translator I have found why some of the airplanes are not on the map.

In this work, transponder data directly from the aircraft received and processed. If a plane out of reach, or is the signal for the transponder receiver is not available, it may not be displayed. It was part of the thesis, this effect as far as possible to conceal.
