Google Docs x 5 = OpenOffice
InfoWorld tell us that while Microsoft Office remains dominant, an independent study finds OpenOffice.org was used by 5 percent of people, versus Google Docs’ 1 percent.
What’s with this 2 applications? OpenOffice, already at 3.0.0 version, is a downloadable Microsoft Office-like software. Google Docs is a free web-based word processor and spreadsheet, which allow you share and collaborate online.
OpenOffice may looks like difficult to handle or to manage because you need to download and install it but what do you say! You are going to do that only one time…
And guess what! There is more! You may export PDF files too ;-).
* You don’t trust so much the online privacy, isn’t it? You want to keep your documents in a safe place, isn’t it? Ok, ok! I’m not showing you more about Google Docs! :-)
